A Novel Planar Slot Antenna Structure for 5G Mobile Networks ApplicationsELEKTRIKA- Journal of Electrical Engineering
A Slotted Planar Antenna for 5G ApplicationsThis paper presents a slotted planar microstrip patch antenna for the 5th generation communication. The planar microstrip patch antenna is designed with a square patch and two longitude slots at 3.5 GHz, using FR4 substrate and feds by a coplanar waveguide structure (CPW). The proposed antenna was simulated, analysed, and optimized using computer simulation technology (CST) software. Simulation results show a good return loss of greater than10 dB and impedance bandwidth of about 650MHz, which meet the requirements of future 5G applications. In this work, the geometry of the presented antenna and its related parameters are presented and discussed

Design and analysis of microstrip patch antenna for 5G wireless communication systems2022 •
Due to lower latency, greater transmission speed, wider bandwidth, and the possibility to connect with greater multiple devices, fifth-generation (5G) networks are far better than 4G. In this study, a microstrip patch antenna operating at 28 GHz is investigated and modeled for future 5G communication technologies. The substrate used in this work for the antenna is Rogers RT/Duroid5880. Dielectric of the substrate is 2.2 and thickness is 0.3451 mm. CST software is used to simulate the antenna as it is convenient to use. From the simulation, the return loss, gain, radiation efficiency, sidelobe level was found to be-38.348 dB, 8.198dB, 77%, and-18.3 dB respectively. The result found from this simulation is better than the works took place in the past. As a result, it can be utilized as a capable candidate for 5G wireless technology. The results of this proposed antenna are superior to those of existing antennas published in recent scientific journals. As a result, it's likely that this antenna will meet the needs of 5G wireless communication systems.
This paper is embedded with microstrip patch antenna that is constructed for future 5G wireless communications. The antenna has a compressed structure of 11mm x 8 mm x 0.5mm, including the ground plane. This antenna is designed using Rogers RT/duroid 5880 substrate used as dielectric material with a miniaturized size of 4.4mm x 3.3mm. Its dielectric constant is 2.2 and has thickness of 0.5 mm. This microstrip patch antenna resonates at frequencies of 28 GHz and 50 GHz. The antenna is simulated by using high frequency structure simulator. The antenna provides a gain of 2.6dB. The structure of antenna and various specifications such as return loss, vswr, gain plot and radiation pattern are discussed.

Design of a Broadband Microstrip Array Antenna for 5G Application2020 •
This paper presented a study that analyses the enhancement of high gain microstrip array antenna for 5G applications operating at 28 GHz designed to meet the ETSI standardization. It is expected that the gain must be high at high operating frequency so that it can compensate the propagation path loss. The objective of this study was to design a 16-element microstrip array antenna located at the top of antenna as a rectangular patch. Aiming to achieve low loss and high antenna efficiency, the material used for the proposed design was Roger 5880 materials with the permittivity of 2.2 and thickness of 0.25. Initially, a rectangular microstrip array antenna with 4 elements was designed. After analyzing the outcomes of antenna features such as reflected loss, efficiency and antenna gain, the 4 elements array were transformed into 8 elements array. To achieve high gain, it was then transformed into 16 elements array. Based on EM analysis using CST software, it was found that the proposed ...

A Modified Rectangular Mid-band Microstrip Slot Antenna for WLAN, WiFi and 5G Applications2021 •
A modified rectangular Microstrip slot antenna for numerous applications like WLAN, Wi-Fi 5, satellite telecommunication and 5G application is portrayed. The proposed antenna has dimension of 25×30×1.6 mm. The structure consists of partial ground and DGS. The proposed design is embedded on FR4 lossy substrate having dielectric constant of 4.3 and thickness of 1.6 mm. Two similar inverted L shape CLLR are introduced at left and right edge of the ground plane to improve current distribution and to achieve wide bandwidth. The results like reflection coefficient, surface current, gain, directivity, VSWR, impedance and radiation pattern are found up to the mark.
